Plan Enough Time for Your Rady Shell Cruise
Important: Ample time should be scheduled into your charter to allow the yacht to cruise from Harbor Island to the Rady Shell area and secure an appropriate anchorage position.
On popular concert nights, yacht space near the Rady Shell can become limited as additional boats arrive to enjoy the performance from the bay.
For this reason, we highly recommend planning your charter so the yacht arrives in the Rady Shell area approximately ONE HOUR before the scheduled concert start time.
Arriving early gives your captain more time to find an appropriate location, get safely situated and allows your group to relax and enjoy the waterfront before the music begins.
Your Private Concert Experience
Bring your favorite food and drinks aboard, connect your music for the cruise, and enjoy San Diego Bay before settling in for the concert. Your private yacht gives your group its own space to socialize, dine and take in the lights of downtown San Diego from the water.
Rady Shell concerts commonly run around two hours, although performance times vary by event. When planning your charter, we recommend allowing time for the cruise to the Shell, approximately one hour of pre-concert arrival time, the full performance, and the return cruise to Harbor Island.
